The Island of Arran combined with the wonderful winter lights we get in Scotland - along with the rain and wind too, alas, means almost every day that the mist or/and rain allows us to actually see Arran, we are treated to a kaleidoscope of soft amazing shades of colours which make us feel lucky to be alive. As our national poet Robert Burns said, 'Pleasures are like poppies spread, You seize the bloom, the flower is shed.' Small moments in time, never to return, but to be treasured for that very brief moment of beauty.
Mist liftng on Arran.
